This is the first of a four part series on making a simple, low-poly cartoon looking house. I had been wanting to do this for a while now, but just haven’t had the time until now.
This tutorial is intended for beginners.
In this tutorial, we lay the foundation for the frame of the house with some help from the mirror modifier, the door, and door knobs. The materials used for each of these items will be updated in Tutorial #1b.
And apologies on the video quality. It should be better in the rest of the videos for this series.
See the next items in the series (Links to their posts as they are released):
- Tutorial 1B: Updating the textures from Tutorial #1A, adding the door frame, roof, and carpet.
- Tutorial 1C: Adding the windows and the chimney.
- Tutorial 1D: Adding a lattice, distorting the house, and final touch-ups.
I really hope you enjoy this series.
Also, I will provide the final .blend file once the final tutorial in the series is complete.
Blender V2.63a is used in this tutorial.
